The artist VIOREL PANAIT is a complete artist, acknowledged for over 20 years in the field of art. He is the author of many paintings on canvas, of painted glass decorative items and glass engravings.
All his works (vases, lamps, and ceiling lamps) are made entirely by hand. These works are unique and wonderfully hand-crafted.  The glass is mouth-blown as it used to be in the past by glass-blowers with a large expertise .The glass is tinted in the mass hot stage blow molding.  Each creation is then hand painted by the artist with a painting called "special window".
The originality of the artist is the fact that some pieces have parts made in relief in cold glass paste according to a new method devised by him.
All his creations are customizable and can be made in different colors, shapes, themes and heights on demand.

HIS  LIFE

VIOREL PANAIT was born in 1969 and as a child he discovered painting on canvas under his uncle’s guidance. His exceptional artistic sense was already shown by his inborn, growing passion for painting. As a teenager he attended painting courses and took drawing classes, he read a lot as he wanted to have a good theoretical background and he made his first impressive creations in 1987.
In 1990, he discovered self-taught glass painting and he began working as a painter and decorator, having as models Emile Gallé, Daum Nancy, Muller and Tiffany brothers.  In 1993, after three years of study, he obtained his degree as a painter on glass and ever since his numerous glass creations have been admired around the world: in Europe (Belgium, Switzerland, France, Germany, and Italy), Asia (Japan), as well as in the United States.
VIOREL PANAIT is a freelancer in this wonderful field of art, always boldly experimenting, creating exquisite models of vases and decorative lamps.

HIS ORIGINALITY

No work of art comes from nowhere, all artists are, consciously or not, influenced by their predecessors and tradition.  While borrowing some elements from the traditional decorative arts, VIOREL PANAIT knows how to make his work unique, cultivating personal imagination and using a highly original technique.
The originality of this artist lies in the fact that some of his creations have bas-relief parts manufactured by applying cold glass paste, using an original method.  This unique method, currently used only by him, was discovered by VIOREL PANAIT in 2010 after years of painstaking testing and experimenting.
Creating these bas-relief parts requires great expertise, exceptional artistic ability, extensive knowledge in the field of glassware and a lot of passion.

For VIOREL PANAIT, glass painting is his way of expressing himself, of existing.   His work is fine and delicate, exhibiting a great mastery of colors and a clear and precise drawing.
VIOREL PANAIT defends an essentially decorative aesthetics, but its ambition is to capture life and reach perfection.  His power is to turn the material into immaterial. We perceive life, a great energy and a solar vision in all his marvelous creations.
One of his favorite sources of inspiration is nature. In his works, there is a serene bucolic nature: landscapes, flowers ... It tries to represent the most delicate creations of this world (flowers, trees, and tiny creatures), fragile and evanescent moments like leaves being blown away in a soft breeze…
His works invite you to dream, to escape.  Reality is transfigured by dream-like, fantastic or abstract intrusions.
